DMK will put horns with Aladak in Aruppukottai and Rajapalayam and compete against BJP in All India Muvendra Munnetra Kazhagam in Virudhunagar and Tiruchili

After allocating three seats of the AIADMK Assembly to its coalition partners, the DMK has retained all four seats represented by its party members in Virudhunagar district.

The party has also re-nominated four of its MLAs – KKSR Ramachandran (Aruppukottai), Thangam Thenarasu (Tiruchuli), ARR Sinivasan (Virudhunagar) and S. Thangapandian (Rajapalayam).

Sivakasi and Srivilliputtur (reserved) seats have been allotted to the Congress, while Sattupur assembly constituency has been awarded to MDMK, whose candidates ARR Raghuram will contest on DMK’s ‘Roar Sun Son’.

With this, the DMK will lock horns with its arch-rivals Aladamak in Aruppukottai and Rajapalayam and take on the BJP in Virudhunagar and All India Muvendra Munnetra Kazhagam in Tiruchuli.

In Aruppukottai, former MLA of the party heavyweight Sri Ramachandran AIADMK, S.W. Vengshelvan and DMK will be handled by Mr. Thangpandian, now incumbent minister against two-time MLA from Sivakasi assembly constituency, Katie Rajenthera Bhalaji, has moved to his constituency. To Rajapalayam.

Mr. Thenarasu will seek his third consecutive election from Tiruchuli.

Two-time MLA from Virudhunagar, Mr. Sinivasan will fight the BJP candidate.
