Land impersonation of dead person, sold by forgery

The Anti-Land Grabbing Cell of the Central Crime Branch on Thursday arrested two people who allegedly sold a piece of land in Kundrathur with impersonation and forged documents belonging to a deceased man.

Police said Surendranath Babu, the father of complainant Dilip, bought an 8,138-square-foot plot at Kundrathur in 2004. He died in 2014.

One of the accused, Satish, produced a Power of Attorney document. A model was also attached. The accused later sold the land to the Shivaropan of Kundrathur, and the suit was registered in the name of the buyer.
