The official release said that under the government-linked incentive scheme for production of active pharmaceutical ingredients. 33 applications have been approved with an investment of 5,082.65 crores.
The establishment of these plants will make the country self-sufficient to a great extent with respect to these bulk drugs.
The Department of Pharmaceuticals had unveiled a PLI plan to promote domestic manufacturing in four different target segments with a total outlay of ₹ 6,940 crore for the period 2020-21 to 2029-30.
