PMK President GK Mani said, “There is nothing permanent in politics,” adding that his party was reluctant to contest elections on its own and decided to remain in the AIADMK alliance despite criticism from the government. He said that the government did not face anti-incumbency, and met the PMK’s demand for Vanniyar reservation, while announcing several schemes including farm loan waiver.
