The PMK released the final list of its four candidates for the assembly elections, which included the name of former MLA SX Rajamannar. He joined the PMK on Thursday after leaving DMK and will contest from Poonamallee. “I am resigning from the DMK because I do not like the attitude of the current leadership. I have served the DMK in various capacities for the last 25 years, ”Mr. Rajamannar told reporters after joining the PMK in the presence of its chairman GK Mani.
Mr. Rajamannar lost the assembly elections in 2006 from Ottapidaram by contesting on DMK ticket.
After finalizing its 23 constituencies as part of the AIADMK-led coalition, the PMK on Wednesday released two lists of 19 candidates. PMK Vice President.S. Sadasivam will contest from Mettur, while Raja gets Sankarapuram and S. Murali Shankar was fielded as per the final list from Vandavasi.
