If you want cheaper broadband then now is a good time to go online shopping. Black Friday 2021 is just around the corner with this major sale event taking place on November 26. Along with gadgets such as iPhones, headphones and laptops being slashed in price, there’s often mega broadband bargains to be bagged and Plusnet is one of the first to reveal its Black Friday discounts.
The BT-owned firm has slashed prices across a number of plans with things now starting from just £21.95 for its basic 36 Mbps Unlimited Fibre speeds.
This connection is fine for a bit of light HD streaming, music playback and surfing the web although you may need something a little faster if you have a busy home that’s full of people using the internet and watching content online.
If you don’t think 36Mbps is up to the job then Plusnet also has its faster 66Mbps Unlimited Fibre Extra plan is also on sale for just £23.95 per month. These speeds would allow you to download a full HD movie in around 15 minutes.
Both of these deals last for 18 months and are free to activate with Plusnet waving the usual £10 connection fee.
If you sign up for the 36Mbps option you’ll also get a £50 reward card with those getting the faster Extra speeds receiving a £60 card.
As a comparison to its closest rivals, BT is currently charging over £26 for its entry-level broadband whilst Sky wants £28 for its 59Mbps speeds.
Virgin Media’s basic M50 service currently costs £33 per month – that’s over £10 more than Plusnet.
Speaking about the new deals Nick Silverwood, Head of Business at Plusnet, said: “With Black Friday around the corner, we’ll be seeing the usual frenzy of “once in a lifetime” deals everywhere we look. Here at Plusnet, we’re taking things back to basics with the return of our lowest price on fibre broadband, bringing customers a deal that’s genuinely good value for money. Finding an actual bargain for Black Friday? That’ll do.”
It’s not just Plusnet who has revealed its Black Friday deals early. Three Mobile has also unveiled some big incentives including its 5G service which now comes with a free laptop and its slower 4G option which has been cut in price to just £14 per month.
