NEW DELHI: Redmi Smart TV series is now official in India. Redmi, the sub-brand of Xiaomi has expanded its smart TV lineup with the launch of two new smart TVs under the series. The company has launched Redmi Smart TV 32-inch and 43-inch. These are the first smart TVs from the company to come with Android 11 built-in.
Redmi Smart TVs: Price and availability
The 32-inch Redmi Smart TV is priced at Rs 15,999, while the 43-inch Redmi Smart TV comes with a price tag of Rs 25,999. Both the smart TVs will be available during Diwali with Mi and Amazon Great Indian Festival sales starting next month. The company will also announce a special discounted price and special offer for the first sale.
Redmi Smart TVs: Key features
The 32-inch Redmi Smart TV comes with an HD display, while the 43-inch houses an FHD display. Both the smart TVs come with Vivid Picture Engine (VPE), a set of software and hardware tweaks that promise to offer accurate screen calibration.
These are also the first Redmi smart TVs to come with Android TV 11 out-of-the box. Both the TVs come with built-in Chromecast and Play Store integration. The Redmi smart TVs also come with the latest PatchWall 4 with 75+ free live channels and universal search across 30 OTT apps.
The smart TVs come with a Kids Mode which offers parental lock and safe search for age-appropriate content. The TVs bundle Mi Voice remote with Google Assistant and also has Quick Wake and Quick Mute functionality.
Both the smart TVs have 20W stereo speakers with Dolby Audio and DTS Virtual X and DTS-HD. These also support Dolby Atmos pass via HDMI eARC.
How the two smart TVs are different
Both the smart TVs from Redmi share a similar set of specifications. The only difference between the two smart TVs is the screen size and the display resolution. The 32-inch Redmi Smart TV features an HD display with 1366×768 pixels resolution. On the other hand, the 43-inch Redmi Smart TV sports an FHD display with 1920 × 1080 pixels resolution.
