An encounter between militants and security forces took place in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.
“An encounter with militants has started in Kandipora of Bijbehara area of Anantnag. Police and security forces are at work, ”said a police spokesman from Srinagar.
According to police, two or three terrorists may be hiding on the site.
This is the second encounter in Kashmir in the last 24 hours. The chief of al-Badr was killed in an encounter on Tuesday in Sopore, northern Kashmir.
