NEW DELHI: Android users your smartphone is all set to get a design makeover. Google has released the fourth beta of Android 12. The latest beta update brings some important visual improvements and minor tweaks to the operating system. Tech giant released the first beta of Android 12 at its annual developer conference I/O 2021 in May this year. The company then released the two beta versions of the operating system. With the rollout for Android 12 beta version 4, the company has reached stability, which means that the game and app developers can now test the compatibility of their apps with the operating system.
Talking about what is new, the Android 12 beta 4 does not offer any major changes or features.
The company has already rolled out the major feature and design changes in the earlier beta version of the operating system. However, the Android 12 beta 4 does bring some minor tweaks and improvements.
Images highlighted in multitasking menu
With Android 12, Google has made it easier to share content from the Recents multitasking menu in Android 12. In the latest beta version of Android 12, you will notice that images are highlighted in the multitasking menu. You just have to tap on the image to access shortcuts for Google Lens, copy, share and save. You can also drag the image to pull it to the contacts fro quick sharing.
Visual changes
Google introduced colour themes last year with Android 11 and with Android 12 it is making it better with Material you. The aim of this new redesign is to give a uniform look to the smartphone with better colour coordination and app icons. With the latest beta version the Google logo also gets a Material You makeover with four primary colours from the wallpaper.
Wi-Fi and mobile data pop-ups improved
Google has also added simple toggle buttons to turn off the mobile data and Wi-Fi. The new toggles will appear on the internet pop-up screen which will make the interface cleaner.
Easter egg
Google adds an Easter egg in all the Android versions and Android 12 is no different. You can try the new Easter egg by going to the Setting>About phone and then tap on Android version 12 which will open the Android version page. Tap on it 12 times and then you will notice an image of the device wallpaper with the clock widget. Now, twist the time to 12 o’clock and you will notice that the page changes to one covered with circles and colours which are taken from the device wallpaper.
