Nokia 5.3 starts receiving Android 11 operating system update in India and 12 other countries – morningtidings

HMD Global, the company that has the license to manufacture and sell Nokia-branded handsets, has started rolling out the Android 11 update to its budget smartphone Nokia 5.3 in 13 countries including India. In a forum post, the company announced that in order to provide a smooth rollout, it will roll out the update in waves and in the first wave, it will roll out the Android 11 update in 13 countries.
Countries in which Nokia 5.3 is getting Android 11 update
Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Taiwan and Vietnam.
HMD says that 30% of these approved markets will receive the update immediately, 50% will receive it by August 5, and by August 6, 100% of these markets will have received the Android 11 update.

Launched in September 2020, the Nokia 5.3 is currently selling in India at Ra 15,499.
In terms of specs, the handset offers a display of 6.5-inch HD+ screen of 1600x720p resolution with a waterdrop notch and a 2.5D glass front.
For imaging duties, Nokia 5.3 has a quad-camera setup on the back. The primary camera is a 13MP sensor (f/1.8 aperture). There is also a 5MP ultra-wide sensor and two 2MP depth and macro sensors with f/2.4 aperture each. The rear camera setup offers modes such as Night Mode, portrait mode, etc. On the front, users get an 8MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture.
The Nokia 5.3 smartphone comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. On the storage front, the device offers 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. For those who want more, there is a dedicated microSD card on the device that can support up to 512GB storage.
Backed by a 4000mAh battery, the Nokia 5.3 is said to deliver up to 22 hours of talk time and 18 days of standby time.
