Samsung has started rolling out the Android 2021 security patch for the Galaxy A72 smartphone.
The update arrived soon after the Galaxy A52 update rollout which was surprisingly followed by Galaxy A8 and now it is rolling out to Galaxy A72.
The update is currently being rolled out in select regions that include Russia, Ukraine and some nearby regions. A wider rollout is expected to happen over the course of the week.
The Android security patch carries firmware number A725FXXU3AUG2. Apart from the security patch, the update also carries some bug fixes.
For those who aren’t aware, the previous update for Galaxy A72 brought a couple of features to the smartphone such as camera update, call quality improvement, face recognition improvements and more.
If you are a Galaxy A72 owner and happen to be in one of the select regions then you’ll most likely receive the update notification. In case you haven’t, head to Settings – Software Update and check for the update manually.
The Galaxy A72 smartphone features a 6.7-inch FHD+ sAMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
For imaging duties, the Galaxy A72 also has a quad-camera setup, where the primary camera is a 64MP sensor. But with this handset, buyers get a 12MP ultra wide-angle camera, an 8MP telephoto sensor and a 5MP macro sensor.
The smartphone is backed by a 5000mAh battery, the Galaxy A72 has 25W fast charging.
