Former India opener Virender Sehwag on Monday tweeted a video to give his followers a glimpse into the recovery process of legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar ahead of India’s veterans’ match against the England giants at the Road Safety World Series. In the video, Tendulkar may be sitting with the team physio with a needle in his elbow. Apart from Sehwag and Tendulkar, former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh also featured in the video. In the video, Sehwag can be heard asking the physio and Tendulkar if he will be fit enough to play his next match. While the physio sounded optimistic, Tendulkar responded “He is a traveler from Koshish“.

As the name suggests, the Road Safety World Series aims to create awareness about road safety. It started on 5 March with India Legends with Bangladesh Legends.

India beat Bangladesh by 10 wickets on the basis of Sehwag’s blistering half-century innings.

The Indian bowlers bowled Bangladesh out for 109 and chased down the target, facing 59 balls.

Sehwag returned the clock and started India’s run chase with a four off the very first ball of the innings.

He bowled Bangladesh’s bowling and scored an unbeaten 80 off just 35 balls, while his batsman Sachin was not out, scoring 33 runs off 26 balls.

India next face the England giants, who are also winning against the Bangladesh giants.

England captain Kevin Pietersen scored 42 runs off just 17 balls to give his team a seven-wicket win.
