Chit fund scam led to “looting public money” by TMC government and its leaders, Suvendu Adhikari alleged
Branding West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as an outsider in Nandigram, BJP leader and his former Protector Suvendu Adhikari said on March 10 that people are cheated by chit fund companies in the state if the saffron party is in power If they come then they will get their money back.
Ms. Banerjee accused the Trinamool Congress chief of mischaracterizing ‘Chandipath’ (sacred text) in Nandigram on March 9, accusing her of attempting to divide communities on religious lines before the assembly elections.
He said the chit fund scam was caused by the TMC government and its leaders “looting public money”.
“that [Banerjee] Nandigram has an outsider. He did not cast his vote here either. I am not the only ‘Bhoomiputra’ [son of the soil of Nandigram], But also a regular voter of the region.
Inaugurating his election office, Adharji said, “I have been with the people of this place for many years, unlike Banerjee, who comes here only during elections.”
In Nandigram Assembly constituency, it was decided to contest the seat against Mr. Adikari along with Mr. Banerjee.
