CPI (M) Acting Secretary of State A. Vijayaraghavan says, “The LDF victory in Kerala will animate secular forces across the country against BJP’s misrule.”
Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] Acting Secretary of State A. Vijayaraghavan said a second shift in power for the Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala would pave the way for the communal divide of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a spirited national alternative to the pro-corporate agenda. National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the center.
“Kerala was the only left-ruled state in the country. Its development model led to welfarism in contrast to the rich neo-liberal economic policies of Congress and BJP. The LDF victory in Kerala will warn secular forces across the country against BJP’s misrule, ”said Vijayaraghavan.
“The Congress was on the national level. Its leaders had turned to the Sangh Parivar’s brand of espionage politics. The ideological line between the Congress and the BJP was very thin. Congress leaders compromised Hindutvaism fearlessly. The minority had moved away from the Congress. “
“In contrast, the LDF in Kerala was safely melted down to the constitutional principles of secularism and democracy. It set a national precedent by adopting a staunch stance on maintaining secular and progressive values.
Mr. Vijayaraghavan said that the LDF proudly saw the Pinarayi Vijayan government’s record of winning for the second consecutive term. “An LDF withdrawal will be a watershed in the history of coalition politics in Kerala. The LDF government embraced the people of Kerala during back-to-back devastating floods and the subsequent COVID-19 epidemic. The government had left its people. It had increased the welfare pension and approved the payment backlog, ”he said.
“LDF strengthens public distribution system. This ensured that no one would starve when the economy of the state collapsed. Ration and food kits reached every house. The government took care of the guest workers. It expanded free COVID-19 medical care to all. “
“LDF leveraged funds from the open financial market to modernize hospitals and primary health care centers. The LDF circled government schools and made them at par with international institutions for the elite. Children from low-income families received world-class education. “
“The Congress and the BJP formed a political axis in Kerala. He conspired with central agencies to oust the LDF from power. He attempted to cast a political executive under a permanent cloud of doubt, ”he said
“Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi refrain from criticizing each other, wishing for the LDF government. However, the people rejected their reversal electoral strategy in the local body elections last year and voted heavily for LDF candidates. This pattern will be repeated in the Assembly elections on 6 April.
