Battlegrounds Mobile India ‘Server Busy’ error: Why this is happening and how to fix the issue - Times of India

Soon after Krafton officially launched Battlegrounds Mobile India on Android, the total number of players surged resulting in several errors and issues. The most common error BGMI players are reporting in the past few days is the Server Busy message.
The message reads, “Server is busy, please try again later. Error code: restrict-area”. This error message prevents players from opening the game.
The error message first surfaced when the game was in early access beta phase. Few players for some reason are still facing these issues.
If you are one of them and want to know why this is still happening with your game, we have three possible reasons for that.
Reason 1: Could be due to the sideloaded version of the game
Make sure to download the game from the Google Play Store only. Downloading it via third-party app stores or APK and Obb files, the game might give you this error.
Fix: Uninstall the current version from your smartphone and reinstall the game from Google Play Store.
Reason 2: Using unsupported platforms
According to Krafton, the game is only available on the Android operating system. So, if you are using it via an emulator or any other device which isn’t supported, then the error message may appear to you.
Fix: Switch back to a supported device
Reason 3: Trying to access BGMI from countries other than India
From day one, Krafton has made it clear that BGMI is an India-exclusive title and only players in India can access the game.
Fix: Well, there’s no fix for this unless you are planning to visit India
Reason 4: Internet connectivity issue
Poor internet connection can also result in this error. If the internet connection speed is not sufficient, it will fail to connect with the games’ server.
Fix: Switch to a better and faster internet connection
It is important to understand that these are just speculated reasons and possible fixes. Krafton hasn’t said anything officially about this.
