Xiaomi has increased the prices of these two Redmi smartphones - Times of India

Consumer technology giant Xiaomi, which recently became the second biggest smartphone company in the world as per Canalys, has increased the prices of two of Redmi branded smartphones in India.
The two Xiaomi Redmi smartphones — Redmi 9 Power and Redmi 9A — have got a price hike of maximum of Rs 500. Not all the variants of the two handsets have got a price hike. One variant each of the Redmi 9 Power and Redmi 9A have become more expensive.
The Redmi series is more affordable as compared to the Mi series from Xiaomi. The most expensive smartphone in the Redmi series from Xiaomi is priced at Rs 19,999 onwards.
The new prices of the respective handsets are reflected on Xiaomi India’s website and are applicable on Amazon, Flipkart, and also through offline retail stores.
Xiaomi Redmi 9 Power new price
The price of the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant has got a price hike of Rs 500 and it has been revised to Rs 13,499. This model was launched at Rs 12,999.
Xiaomi Redmi 9A new price
The price of the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant that was launched at Rs 7,499 is now selling at Rs 7,799. This handset has become more expensive by Rs 300.
Xiaomi Redmi 9 Power specs
Available in Mighty Black, Blazing Blue, Electric Green and Fiery Red colour options, the Redmi 9 Power comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC. It offers a 6.53-inch FHD+ display of FHD+ resolution.
Backed by a 6000mAh battery, it has a quad rear camera setup on the back where the primary camera is a 48MP sensor. This is paired with an 8MP ultra wide angle camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, users get an 8MP sensor.
Xiaomi Redmi 9A specs
The Redmi 9A offers a 6.53-inch HD+ display and is powered by MediaTek Helio G25 SoC.
It offers a 6.53-inch HD+ display and comes backed by a 5000mAh battery.
For imaging duties, there is a single camera on both front and back. The front camera is a 5MP sensor and on the back there is a 13MP sensor.
