Last month, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart had confirmed that this feature is coming to the app soon.
Zuckerberg had said that such a feature is indeed in the works. He also said that it has been a “technical challenge” to develop it as it will require all of users’ messages and content to sync properly across devices. He also added that the chats in this case will also remain end-to-end encrypted.
WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart further confirmed that the company is going to roll out the multi-device support feature in a public beta “in the next month or two.”
Cathcart revealed that users will get the support to link up to 4 devices using the multi-device feature.
