Xiaomi is reportedly working on its next-generation tablet devices. Likely to be called Mi Pad 5, the tablet has already been certified by ECC. Now, an online report suggests that the device may come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor.
A report by GizChina says that Mi Pad 5 may be equipped with a 11-inch LCD screen with 2K resolution. It is expected to have a refresh rate of 144Hz and a touch sampling rate of 480Hz.
Additionally, the Mi Pad 5 is said to come with stylus function support. It is rumoured to come with a handheld PC mode. It may offer features like menu, control center, and ability to open multiple windows at the same time
Xiaomi executives have also revealed that the company will specifically develop MIUI for tablet devices.
Other features that may come with the upcoming tablet are a 4,260mAh dual-cell battery and 5G connectivity support. Rumours suggest that there could be a standard variant of the tablet which may come powered by MediaTek Dimesnity 1200 processor. Both tablets are expected to come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.
In other news, Xiaomi has teased the launch of Redmi Note 10T on Amazon. The e-tailer has created a microsite announcing an upcoming Xiaomi launch with the tagline ‘Fast and Futuristic.’ While the webpage does not specifically mention the name of the phone, the page’s URL does give away that the soon to be launched phone will be Redmi Note 10T 5G.
