UFC 259 live update, results, Israel Adesanya vs Jan Blachowicz fight and highlights from full card

The UFC has one of its most stacked cards on Saturday night that has returned to recent memory: four champions competing in three title fights at UFC 259 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Headlining the pay-per-view will be middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, who will take a shot at becoming a two-division champion when he faces light heavyweight champion Jan Blavachikos.

Adenasi (20-0) has been going badly since making his debut at the UFC in 2018. He has gone 9–0, with four of those wins coming through stoppages. Also, he did not like Anderson Silva, Joel Romero, Robert Whitaker, and Calvin Gastrum. He defended his middleweight title in major fashion with a second-round TKO against the already unbeaten Paulo Costa at UFC 253.

Blachowicz claimed the vacant 205-pound title with a one-sided knockout of Dominic Reyes at the UFC 253 co-main event. The Polish fighter started in 2014 with the knock of Ilir Latifi, but then lost four of his next five fights. A four-fight winning streak; It had impressive wins over Nikita Krylov and Jared Cannonir. But a knockout defeat to Thiago Santos set him back again. Since that defeat, he has won four times in a row, with victories over Luke Rockhold, Ronaldo “Jacke” Souza, Corey Anderson and Reyes.

Can Blackowicz prove that he is more than a transitional champion, or will Adesanya take his place on the 205-pound throne as one of the world’s best pound-for-pound fighters?

The co-main event consists of the biggest female fighter defending one of her titles. Amanda Nunes will be challenged to the UFC Featherweight Championship by Megan Anderson. Nunes has been an unstoppable force over the past six years with an 11-fight winning streak. He has trended Chris “Cyborg” Justino, Ronda Rousey, Holly Holm and Meesha Tate in their quest to become wing and bantamweight champions. Only Valentina Shevchenko, who is the UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion, has provided any resistance.

Anderson hopes he gets upset. The former Invicta FC featherweight champion has gone 3–2 during his UFC run but has a combination of power and skill that can present a problem for Nunes.

Petr Yan will defend the UFC bantamweight title against top contender Alzman Sterling in a third title fight on the card. The Yanks have yet to taste the defeat inside the UFC Octagon. He won the vacant title last July, stopping Jose Aldo in the fifth round. He will make his first defense against Sterling, who has long been recognized as one of the best young talent in the division. He eventually recorded five consecutive wins to win the title, and Cory Sandhagen’s own 90-second gathering highlighted how strong his grip could be.
