From a year ago, Wipro posted a revenue of ₹ 2,972.3 crore in Q4 with a 27.8% increase in net profit, while gross revenue increased 3.4% to ₹ 16,245.4 crore. IT services revenue grew 3.8% to $ 2.15 billion.
In the April-June quarter, it expects recent IT acquisitions to increase sequential IT services revenues in the 2% –4% range, excluding revenue from Capco and Ampion.
“This is the best fourth quarter results in the last 10 years,” said Thierry Delaporte, its CEO and MD. “This was led by a good amount of growth. Despite the decline in the first quarter due to the epidemic, we bounced back to end the year with a slight drop of -1.4% this year, ”he said.
Operating margin improved 340 basis points (bps) to 21% in Q4 from a year earlier.
Gross revenue increased by 1.5% to Rs 43 61,943 crore in FY15 as compared to the previous year. Net profit increased by 11.2% to ₹ 10,868 crore. However, revenue from IT21 declined 1.4% to $ 8.13 billion.
Wipro is planning a salary hike for senior officers in June. It hired more than 7,000 people in Q4 and took the total headquarters to 197,712.
