Scudel plans Toy Lab to increase ‘play-and-learn’

Scoodle, a toys and school and office-stationery brand, plans to set up a toy lab in India to increase the value of play and learning in children of different age groups. .

The lab will have art students and designers as members who work on research and design. It will also have toy connoisseurs, commercial designers, child psychologists, art directors and academics on the patron council. The details of the investment and location have not been revealed yet. The aim is just to raise the imagination of growing children and tap into curious souls, said Stone Sapphire, who owns the brand.

“The mission is to deliver toy-making items, which increases the value of play and learning for children of different ages,” the firm said.

The lab will have a zone for toy testers and players, a playground for exploring various ideas and game concepts. In toys, environmentally friendly and sustainable concepts have to be promoted.

“We are planning this toy lab to provide toy innovators and ecosystems to artists for research, development and market access,” said Vik Rana, chairman of Stone Sapphire India Pvt Ltd. Limited

Mr. Rana’s firms are supplying to Disney, Play-Doh, Marvel Avengers, Hello Kitty and Pawan Patrol. He said that Toy Lab will accelerate the Make in India initiative.

Mr. Rana said, “Over a period of time, we aim to build a community of creators who manufacture toys and art products, reducing the challenges of enabling children and children now and for the future Huh.”

He said that Scoodle will conduct an outreach program through several workshops to familiarize the concept.
