Harshal Patel of Haryana gave a performance of a lifetime when he claimed five wickets against IPL champions Mumbai Indians in IPL 2021. This last ball from Harshal cost only 27 runs in the thriller, as Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore started the tournament in the best possible way, a win. Harshal was already well told that he would be the “points” of the death overs for RCB, a role he played in the IPL opener against MI.
Harshal’s career best return was one of two matches for RCB with AB de Villiers.

“When I was traded to the Delhi capitals, I was told what role I would play for the franchise,” Harshal said at a post-match press conference on Friday.
He was brilliant in death and captain Virat Kohli said, Harshal also knew that he was expected to do the hard work for which he had carefully planned.
“There were clear instructions that I would bowl in the last two overs (18th and 20th). It gave me a lot of clarity. It helped me to make some plans against the batsmen and kept my preparations brief,” he said.

Pesar explained that a change in pace and a slow yorker were his biggest strengths. According to Herschel, he is bowling for those slow yorkers who got rid of Ishaan Kishan and Marco Janssen, now for almost two seasons.
“The ball started to reverse in a single stage. It was important to bowl yorkers and slow balls … just when you don’t take slow yorker’s wickets, people don’t. I always had yorkers but RCB’s fast. The bowler said that it cannot be played in the game at first.
