Renault, Cero offer to scrap old vehicles

Renault India and Cero Recycling have unveiled ‘RELIVE’, an end-to-end vintage vehicle scraping solution.

“We have started the program by partnering with Cero Recycling in New Delhi and NCR, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru,” said Venkataram Mamilapalle, Country CEO and MD, Renault India Operations.

“With its environmentally friendly practices, Cero will help reduce carbon footprint, create a zero-waste, zero pollution ecosystem, while Renault will offer attractive and exclusive guarantee benefits on new vehicle purchases.”

He also said that Renault India supported the new scrapage policy by offering unbiased scrap valuation quotes and guaranteed major benefits to customers buying a new Renault vehicle by scraping their existing cars of any brand. Renault is offering this special channel, even for prospects to discontinue their older two-wheelers.

“The objective of the initiative is to provide potential customers and prospects with a seamless hassle-free channel to scrap their old vehicles, buy new Renault vehicles, and get attractive benefits on their new purchases”.

Cero is a joint venture between Mahindra Accelo and MSTC. It said it was the first government-authorized automotive and steel-recycling company. It has set up three recycling plants in Greater Noida, Chennai and Pune under the brand name Sero.

“We have state-of-the-art dissolution centers in Greater Noida, Pune and Chennai and collection centers in major cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Chandigarh. In addition, Cero plans to have a presence in 25 cities within the next 8–10 months.
