Indian Premier League: MS Dhoni, CSK Physio try your hand at Italian game. The clock

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is finally back, and is scheduled to begin on 9 April. The players are currently in their respective bio-safe bubble and are gearing up for IPL 2021. Franchises are updating their fans well on social media handles, including offbeat and quirky posts. In one such post, which Chennai Super Kings (CSK) shared on Instagram, the team revealed another game in which captain MS Dhoni loves playing; Adaptation of an Italian game called Bocasse. The former Indian captain was seen playing the game along with CSK physio Tommy Simsek. The video was well received by fans and captioned it as the caption, “The Italian version of Thala vs. Tommy! Golly in a game of Bokeh!”

In the video, the CSK physio also explains the rules of the game. “The Italians play the game where they throw a steel ball. They have a ball called a jack. You have three or four other balls and whoever comes closest to the jack gets a point. If two of your balls are close to your opposition. Then you get two points, “Simsec said.

“So we use some cricket balls and we play bokeh; a customized version of bokeh. It’s usually before 11.”

Also revealing that he is better than Dhoni, he quipped, “I always beat him. He is a very good cricketer, but I am much better at Bokez.”

CSK will face defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in the season opener, and will be aiming for a better performance this year after finishing seventh in 2020.
