Rangers maligned the infamous Jose Botista Punch for Rangers Odgen.

The Rangers recalled one of Ragnad Odor’s greatest hits on his Goodbye graphic.

Odor was nominated for the assignment last week and was traded to the Yankees on Tuesday April 6 to end a somewhat uneven career in Texas. “Slight” is the operative word, though, because we’re approaching a five-year anniversary, leveling Botista with the cleanest punch in MLB history.

Involved in Rangers history, Texas recognized it, and on Tuesday decided to include Punch on his farewell graphic for Odor.

Odor has barely been a replacement level player since that punch, however, collecting just 1.0 fWAR since 2017, the second for the Rangers to decide to part with the baseman and eventually trade him .

In exchange for a pair of minor league outfielders, Yonk (where he would be forced to shave his stunning facial hair) was sent to smell. He is expected to play some second and third with New York.

Texas is still on the hook for Odor’s contract of about $ 27 million.

But some moments are more than money, and Punch is absolutely one.
