MS Dhoni is considered one of the most successful captains not only on the international stage, but also in the IPL. But Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson would like to be himself as he knows that there can be no one like the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Samson will lead the Rajasthan Royals in the 2021 IPL season as the franchise competed in the auction along with captain Steve Smith of the previous edition. The Rajasthan Royals website quoted Samson as saying, “I don’t think anyone can be like MS Dhoni. I would like to be myself. Sanju Samson would be very good.”

The Rajasthan Royals may have been at the bottom of the table, but they were just two points behind the third and fourth place teams, in the intense competition in the world’s best T20 league in 2020.

Samson thanked fans for supporting the Royals during the Topsy Taravi Ride and promised to bring a smile to their faces in this year’s IPL.

“I want to thank every single fan for supporting my team and being with us. I am sure we will play some good cricket for you guys and bring a smile to your face. Thank you very much.” Friends, ”Samson said.

Rajasthan Royals bought South Africa all-rounder Chris Morris for Rs 16.25 crore, making him the most expensive player in the mini auction in February.

The Royals also included Bangladesh’s left-handed batsman Mustafizur Rahman in the fast bowling for the season and selected India’s all-rounder Shivam Dubey for the lower order.

Promoted

Samson said, “I think our team management performed brilliantly in the auction and we got almost every player.

The IPL will begin on April 9 with the horns of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians opener of the tournament. Rajasthan Royals will play their first match against Punjab Kings on 12 April in Mumbai.
