Chennai Super Kings (CSK) took to social media to share a short video of MS Dhoni and his teammates celebrating the birthday of coach Stephen Fleming. The former New Zealand captain turned 48 on 1 April. CSK players are currently in their bio-secure bubble, preparing for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. IPL 2021 is scheduled to begin on 9 April. The video captioned as, “Bond beyond the border! Siripu Enipu and lots of #Yellow to You coaches @ SPFleming7. #WhistlePodu #SavourTheMoment”.

In the video, Stephen Fleming can be seen cutting the birthday cake, in which Dhoni and Suresh Raina are clapping.
CSK had a poor run last season, finishing seventh in the eight-team table. Under Dhoni’s leadership, he won six matches and won eight matches.
Ahead of IPL 2021, the franchise suffered another setback, with Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood coming out to spend time with his family. However last season, Hazelwood could not cement a starting spot, and only managed three matches.
Defending champion Mumbai Indians (MI) will face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on 9 April in the IPL 2021 season. CSK will play its first match on April 10, when it will face Delhi’s capital (DC).

From IPL 2021 onwards, CSK released Shane Watson (retired), Murali Vijay, Kedar Jadhav, Harbhajan Singh, Piyush Chawla and Monu Singh.
He bought Moin Ali, K Gautam, Cheteshwar Pujara, Harishankar Reddy, C Hari Nishant and Bhagat Verma in the IPL 2021 auction.
