Miguel Cabrera hits first home run of MLB season – via Opening Day Snowflakes

From baseball to snowball, Detroit has it all.

The April season has never been the kindest to baseball, often to navigate the fury and ravages of Mother Nature during the first few weeks of postponement season.

The weather didn’t matter for this year’s Miguel Cabrera and the Tigers on Opening Day, though: Migi landed the first home run of the 2021 MLB season as the opposite-field Jack in Detroit via Snowflakes.

Cabrera seemed a bit confused at the distance of the explosion, with the veteran slipping into second base thinking that it was only a double.

While the broadcast actually sounds a bit bad, it’s actually the season in Detroit, well, without the start of a baseball season. Just give us warm weather, man.

Snowfall in the Motor City is easily considered, however, with winds stopping later in the day, giving way to 60-degree weather for baseball’s next, full week.

Already, two Opening Day games were postponed: the Red Sox-Orioles matchup was razed due to weather and the Mets and Nationals opener was postponed due to COVID-19 issues.

Be kind, like nature.
