MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina sweated the net as CSK gear up for IPL 2021. Look

MS Dhoni, former India captain and Suresh Raina were spotted sweating the nets for the upcoming season of three-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Chennai Super Kings. In the video, both Dhoni and Raina can be seen accelerating during a practice session, while youngsters like Sam Curren are preparing for the T20 tournament. Raina, who missed last year’s IPL due to personal reasons, did some fielding practice and then worked on his big hit during the net session.

Chennai Super Kings finished seventh last season – their worst season in IPL history as the MS Dhoni-led team failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time.

The Chennai franchise suffered a major setback on Wednesday as Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood dropped out of the upcoming season to spend time with his family.

“It has been a long 10 months of bubbles and quarantine at different times, so I decided to take a break from cricket and spend some time at home and in Australia,” Hazelwood quoted Cricket.com as saying. au.

IPL 2021 plays with defending champions Mumbai Indians on April 9 in Chennai with Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Chennai Super Kings will take on the Delhi Capitals in their campaign opener on 10 April.

CSK added the likes of Moin Ali and Krishnappa Gautam to their squad and with Suresh Raina also returning to the set, Chennai would be expected to perform better than they did last season.
