A total of 154 people tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 in Ernakulam district on Friday.
Two health workers have been infected, and the source of the infection has not been ascertained in seven cases.
Adapalli recorded nine new cases, Kalur saw seven and Thrikkara and Vengur six each.
With 623 people testing negative on Friday, the seizures continue to bring fresh cases. About 15,875 people are in quarantine, and the active casiolad is 4,796. A total of 6,531 samples were collected for testing.
Of those recovering from infections, 4,143 are admitted at home, 31 at Government Medical College Hospital, 40 at PVS Hospital, 10 at Fort Kochi Taluk Hospital and three at District Hospital, Aluva. At FLTC, 46 people are being monitored, while 84 are admitted to SLTC.
